UPCOMING MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS WE CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THIS 2023.

May 2023 onwards will be an absolute treat for Disney fanatics and cinephiles.

Here are the movies and soundtracks we're looking forward to seeing and hearing this year:

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

In Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

THE LITTLE MERMAID

“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

In addition to the original hits that fans know and love, the album will include songs with new lyrics from Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“The Little Mermaid” opens exclusively in PH cinemas on May 24, 2023.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Miles Morales (and maybe more) is returning for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”

In the new trailer released, Miles can be seen reuniting with Gwen Stacy before he gets catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Post Malone is now also tied for the highest-platinum-certified single of all time. His track “Sunflower (feat. Swae Lee),” which featured on the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse soundtrack, is currently 17x platinum-certified.

He released a new compilation on Friday (April 21), dubbed The Diamond Collection. It features all of his diamond-certified singles in addition to his latest release, "Chemical."

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse opens exclusively in PH cinemas on May 31, 2023.

ELEMENTAL

Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

Exclusively in cinemas June 2023.

THE MARVELS

Higher. Further. Faster. Together.

"The Marvels" serves as a sequel to 2019's "Captain Marvel," where the titular Avenger, played by Brie Larson, will interact with Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau from "WandaVision" and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan from "Ms. Marvel." Larson appeared in the post-credits of the latter's finale.

Marvel Studios’ #TheMarvelsPH, landing in cinemas November 2023.

FAST X

“Fast X" is the tenth film in the Fast & Furious saga’s two-part conclusion.

Based on the official synopsis, the movie follows Dom Torretto (Vin Diesel) and his family as they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced, described as a terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter their family and destroy everything Dom loves. This comes in the person of Dante (Jason Momoa), who is the son of the nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes. Dom and his family took out Hernan in 2011’s “Fast Five,” decimating his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro.

'Fast X' opens in PH cinemas on May 17, 2023.
