On the new single and music video, BoyWithUke said, “‘Long Drives’ is about having a long distance relationship and constantly overthinking about the other person.”
BoyWithUke first teased the track on TikTok (where he has over 2.5 million followers) as part of his “minute long songs” project. It joins his previous breakout hit “Toxic,” which has nearly 400 million global streams and vaulted into the Top 10 on the Global Spotify Viral Chart, Top 15 on the U.S. Spotify Viral Chart, and Top 20 on the Global Spotify Chart. Beyond that, the song averages 2 million daily streams and hit #25 on the Alternative Radio Chart (and climbing). If you quickly scan TikTok you can figure out he is a musical artist who writes and produces all of his own music, creating songs in his dorm room on GarageBand while hiding his face from the public with his now signature glowing mask. Take a deeper look and you'll see he frequently posts "minute long songs," many times written in response to requests from fans.
